And Robyn you are the sister I've never had so glad to have you in my life.

Im sooooo excited about this wedding! Im sure it will be as beautiful as you both are inside and out. Robyn, Thank you for making me a part of your special day. We made a pact in high school that we would be apart of each other's wedding and you kept true to your word! Tavon, maybe i'll finally meet a boyfriend at the wedding (insider) LOL!! But honestly, this union you two share is so great and i'm so happy that you guys chose each other to spend the rest of your lives with. There couldn't possibly be a better match than you two.
I'm only signing this because you told me to Robyn. Lol....I'm happy the two of you you have found one another and truly match, spirit to spirit. The love in your family is plainly seen and such a beautiful thing to experience. Happy for and love you both. Ok, let me get back to listening to you tell a story that I"m ignoring. :D
Congratulations to the both of you! You have had such a beautiful journey together thus far and I'm sure it will only grow within the years to come! I wish you the best!

This is the same hotel in which we are having our reception. For those who choose to stay in the downtown area for the weekend, this would be idea if you would ike to "walk down stairs for the receptionl. When making your reservations, please mention " Always and Forever" for your room discount.
We chose this hotel because it is the closest hotel, besides the Radisson, to the reception. It is located Downtown and if you prefer to walk to the reception, this is the hotel for you. Please mention "Always and Forver" when booking your room.
This is hotel is located in one of the most historic areas of Baltimore City and its the closest hotel to the Church in which we are having the ceremony. We have a lot of household items that we would love and we are sure if you come over, you will be glad we have :) Our registry number 12883053, under Robyn Sydnor and Tavon Hawkins
We are currently registered at Macys. We have a lot of household items that we would love in our home and we are sure if you come over, you will be glad we have :)
Crate and Barrel has a wonderful selection of household products. We chose this store because of the quality of products that we could find for our home
Because we've been living together over the past 7 years, and now in our first home for over a year, we already have everything that most new couples may still need. The stores that we like would purchase many home items do not have a wedding registries, so we hope you would go to the site to purchase a gift card. We have decided to have a gift card registry in additon to a store registry to make it as convienient as possible for our guests to help us along as we move forward in our new life. That way we can apply your gift as needed towards our home goals. We hope to use the gifts towards the purchase of a new deck for the next years memorial and labor day cookouts :) We love you and thank you in advance!
The Best man of the Groom. For over 15 years, Romel and I have been best friends and have shared some great times together.
Sean is my baby brother. I would protect him with my life . Sometimes he can be a bit stubborn, but I love him unconditionally.
Antione is my wild and crazy brother who is too pretty for his own good. Growing up people would say we looked like twins, but as time went on, I grew up to be the better looking :) Talking to Antione, you can never tell if he's joking or being serious. But I know that he is there for me no matter what and his heart is bigger than he protrays.
What can I say about my brother Donta. One thing is for sure, two things for certain, he is the realest person you would ever meet. Donta never stops amazing me with wisdom. he is a joy to be around and only wants nothing but the best for me and see me happy. I love my brother and am happy that he is around to share this experience with me.
White boys, hide your white girls because once they go Rock, they never go "Bock" lol. Rock is one of my older brothers, and he has one of the biggest heart of any one of us. He is easy to talk to and is very outgoing.
Timmy is the most creative and business savvy of the bunch. Romel might beg to differ but who cares. Timmy owns a business on-line and works in car sales during the day. He is outgoing and always lives life to the fullest that's the motto. He never shys away from a opportunity and is the embodiment of success.
The diplomat Anthony Jones or "Lamont" is the life of the party. I met him at Morgan because he was good friends with Robyn, but over time, we have buit our own friendship. He is now my daughter's Godfather and a very good friend of mine personally.
Christina is my closest friend, cousin, and we even call each other sisters, because, frankly, she is my sister. We are only 7 months apart and our mothers were pregnant at the same time living in the same house. Christina and I have been close since birth and we lived in the same house for over 10 years. She is the one I call on when I need advice, the one can talk to when I am tripping and she puts me back in my place and we are the godmothers of each others kids. No words can express the close bond that she and I have, and although we don't always see eye to eye, she always stands up for me when everyone is against me. Even though we are not blood sisters, she's the best sister a girl can have and I love her to pieces.
Danielle is the sister of the groom. She is honestly the best sister in law a girl could have. When Tavon introduced me to Danielle, she immediately embraced me and made me feel like a part of the family. Given the whole family is mainly women, it can be very intimidating, but Danielle had my back. She always included me and its even to the point now that the family doesnt call Tavon for anything, they call me! I love Danielle. She's always there to give me advice and doesn't judge. She party plans like me, so we're always sharing ideas. When I had Autumn, she let me know that Auntie D would be there for us no matter what, and I really appreciate it. Danielle is more than just a sister in law, she's my sister!
Teyanna is my feisty and beautiful cousin who I grew up with in New York. We grew up together in Brooklyn and our mothers are sisters. I lived with Teyanna and her mother, Aunt Dot, for a good portion of my adolescence. We used to take trips to Six Flags, have family cookouts and go to all the family reunions. We always tagged teamed on the rest of the family with debatable issues and usually it ends up in a heated battle against the kids and the adults. LOL. But we always had a good time when were together. While we were kids, we used to bicker sometimes with each other because she always thought she was right lol. One thing about Teyanna, you could never win a debate with her! But as we grew older, we grew closer and closer and I could not imagine her not in my life. Our kids lare only a few years apart, and for every family event, whether it's a childs birthday, or a graduation or a brunch, we always make sure we are there for each other, regardless if we are in different states. I love Teyanna and she is the only other cousin who I don't consider a cousin, but a sister!
I met Shakeda at Milford Mill Academy in 9th grade. We sat next to each other math class and used to talk about the choir and our goals in life, and who was the most fashionble between us. She used to try to cheat off of my work in class, but I liked her, so I didnt care lol. We became even closer when our twosome became a threesome when we met Brittany Bruce, and then Sierra Conney. The four of us were inseparable in High School, singing, dancing, fashion shows and taking trips. Everyone knew if they saw one, the other three were right behind. Over the years, Shakeda has become my go to when I want to reminisce about old times and when we want to gang up on the other two girls lol. She has a ton of ideas about fashion and events and always shows up to the party fierce!! But I love her dearly, she has always supported me in everything, and I could not imagine her not in my life, no matter how crazy and fashionable she is.
I met Sherelle when I moved to Maryland. Although I wanted no parts in Baltimore, when we met in honors classes, we just clicked. A funny story is when I invited over to my house for the first time, I sang and danced for her to a Christina Aguilera song lmao! That's when I knew that we would be friends for a long time. She accepted me for me. We liked the same things and grew to do everything together. Over the years, Sherelle and I have taken different paths, but our friendship still remains strong. We support one another unconditionally and she will always be in my life.
I met Ms. Nnenna at Morgan State University because we shared a mutual friend Lamont, who was running for class president, and I was his opponent. She thought she was fly and I thought I was fly. One day when I was wearing my orange R earrings and my orange and white outfit on campus, she asked Lamont " Who does she think she is?" lol. Since then, we have joined the Student Government Association and thought we could conquer the world. We instanlty hit it off as friends, having interest in most of the same things, sharing the same ideals and most important, having the same fashion sense. We were both very intelligent and excelled in all of our classes. We traveled together and ran meetings togther. I would go through the wire for her, and she for me. In the dorms, we became roommates, but once I met Tavon, I was so wrapped in him that I moved out. Despite that turbulant time in our friendship, we overcame, forgave one another, and have become the best friends that we were meant to be. We have been friends for over 8 years and will remain friends until we grow old. She is Autumn's Godmother, and a great role model. She will always be in my heart and I will support her until the end.
I met Sierra Conney in Milford Mill while we on the choir. My first impression of her was " finally I have a city girl who I can relate to among all these surburban girls in Milford" lol. Our love for music, boys, and being "grown and in charge" is what brought us close. Even though we were both apart of the High School foursome, we had our own special bond because we always felt like we were a lot more mature than alot of the other girls in our school because of our family struggles we've endured. Over the years, we have always supported one another in all endeavors and our children are very close. I always know that Sierra will tell it to me straight and she always calls me for advice when the world is turning upside down. She is my reassurance and she is mine. I love Sierra and could not imagine her not in my life. She hot, doesn't care what people think, and she's fierce!
We joined this church because its a beautiful church, with beautiful people. The pastor, Alison Halsey, is a prominent member in the community and her presence is profound
One of the oldest hotels in the country, the Radisson provides us with that historic, but romantic feel. Matches our personality perfectly.
Midnight reception. Friends and family and guests are welcome to continue the celebration!
Pictures of of our first year in matrimony!
Lynda Sydnor is the mother of the Bride. With a zest for life, and her boisterous easy-going personality, she is always the life of the party. She lives in Staten Island, NY along with her sister, Dorothy. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, she grew up in East New York, where she met her ex-husband and her children's father Robert. Lynda loves her 3 children, and would do anything for them.
Throughout her life, Lynda always knew her youngest, Robyn would be special to her heart. She instantly fell in love with Tavon as soon as Robyn introduced him to her. She even referred Tavon as her son-in-law, even before they had plans of being married. She is very proud of her daughter and could not be happier that she found her soulmate. In fact, Lynda wished she could marry Tavon!!! (Joke).. Her message to the couple is " She loves us and because she's sick, she hopes God keeps her around long enough to experience many more blessings in life and many more children."
Robert Sydnor Jr. is the Father of the Bride. He is originally from Brooklyn, NY and now resides in Owings Mills, Maryland. He is the father of three children from a previous marriage. Robyn is the youngest. He graduated from the Eastern District High School and attended NYC Technical College in Brooklyn NY. He is now retired from the State of Maryland Division of Corrections. He also owns and operates his own tax business, BR & Associates. His hobbies are jigsaw puzzles and shopping for figurines.
His daughter Robyn will forever be the JOY in his life. There were times when they fought as if they were more than father and daughter. What he’s going to miss most is calling her name. He has always strived to instilled good values and good morals in her. As the time grows near, he has to remind himself that he’s not losing a daughter, just gaining another SON. May the LORD bless their marriage and let the WORLD be their OYSTER. LOVE U BOTH!!!
Tonia Hawkins is the mother of the groom. She is a phenomenal woman. A single mother for most of our lives, she raised 3 kids to become the best that they could be and I love her so much for that. Without a doubt, she loves us unconditonally and wishes her middle child, (Tavon) the best marriage with Robyn.
OG, Triple OG, The father of the groom, Larry Mosley
From day 1, Autumn was me and Tavon's miracle baby. I struggled with getting pregnant and when we found out she was growing inside me, we were ecstatic. She was planned, but unexpected. I just knew that I wanted my first child to be a girl. Since high school, I always loved the name Autumn, and I always said my first daughter would be named after that beautiful season.
When Autumn was born, she instantly had a big personality, just like her mother. She was loud, feisty, and bossy lol. But when we are alone, she is as cute, smart, and funny as a button! She kind of has a double personality. She has been the main reason why Tavon have been so adamant about buying a home early, establishing our future, and making sure she has the best things in life. Everythng we do is for her well being. It's funny because I always tease Tavon because everyone says she looks just like him, but I am hoping her genes will change as she gets older since I'm the one who did all the work. Autumn is my darling and I cannot wait until she gets older so she and I can do all the things I didn't get a chance to do with my mother!
The Date: June 25th, 2009
The Time: Around 4:30 in the afternoon
The Place: In our apartment parking lot lol
The Reason: Because he made the decision to spend the rest of his life with me
Tavon's version of the story:
At the time, Robyn and I have been together for over 5 years. Our relationship was growing, but I wanted to take it to the next level. Not to mention, Autumn was on the way. I loved her dearly and felt that she would make a good wife. The day I proposed, I did have some doubts. Was I ready? Did we need more time? And I even asked myself, was I making the right decision? One thing was for sure, I loved her with all my heart. So I decided to go all in for our future. The proposal wasn't glamourous, but I wanted to surprise her. I just left the ring in Robyn's car with the note attached while she was up stairs in the apartment. She was angry with me because I took so long to get home from the store and she wanted to see me after she got off of work. I knew that none of that would matter after she laid eyes on the ring I bought. I went upstairs, entered the apartment only to see Robyn staring me in my face upset. I acted as if I didnt care because I was ready to propose. I told her to go downstairs and she came back almost crying. She said yes!
Robyn's version of the story:
I was coming home from work after a long day selling cell phones to crazy customers (lol). I called Tavon and told him that I was on my way home. He told me that he was going to hang out with his friend Romel, and he was leaving me in the house for the day. Of course I was upset because I wanted to spend time with my baby and besides, we all had just found out that Michael Jackson had died and I wanted to rush home to talk to him about it.
When I pulled up to the parking lot, I noticed that Taye was not there. I went into the house furious! I called his phone for literally 2 hours and he did not answer. So of course I was sitting on the couch waiting for him to return, but meanwhile trying to figure out what I was going to say to him when the front door opened and he walked in.
Finally, Taye walked in and said "Hey Babe". I was like " Don't hey babe me, where have been!" I was giving him nothing but attitude. He came over and sat down on the couch next to me and said " Go downstairs and look in your car, I have something to show you." After bickering back and forth because I wanted to get my point across, I finally went downstairs and looked inside my car. There in my dashboard cubby was a note and a beautiful ring box. My eyes filled with joy, my heart raced with excitement, and I opened the box. I thought it was a joke at first, but next to the box was a card. I opened the card and it read " You are having my child, now have my ring. Will you marry me Robyn?'" I was going crazy!! I ran upstairs and I told him Yes!! I will marrry you! We hugged, Kissed, and I wasn't mad at him anymore. The next day, I texted everyone and said " He liked it and he put a ring on it!!!"
It was December 2004 and our true beginning started at the CLUB! We never thought we would find love at the club, but Usher said it best.
It was my first year at Morgan State University, and it was the last party of the fall semester. Finals were completed and I was ready to go out with my girls to party all that studying off my mind. I wore a black shirt with a (my signature look) sequin gold collar, skin tight jeans, and a beautiful smile on my face. As I walked from the parking lot, I noticed a guy standing on the sidewalk watching the young ladies walk by. As I walked closer to him, I noticed he was checking me out, hard. As I passed him, he said " What's up Shorty?". I was almost insulted. I said " I am not your Shorty!" and walked off. But as the night progressed in the club, I noticed him again, and saw him a little differently. I decided to ask him to dance. After our first dance, we disovered that we shared a lot of the same interests. From food, to hobbies, political interests, and even the plight of the black people we had just about everything in common! Since that day, we were inseperable and I truly found LOVE at the club!
It was my first year at Coppin State University when I met Robyn. I had been single for almost a year and though it would continue this way for much longer. Although I enjoyed being a bachelor It was the end of the semester party and excitement was in the air. I went out with a few of my lady friends hoping that a few of them would leave with me afterward, It didn't work out that way though. I was waiting for my brothers at the corner of Boston and Wagner Street when I first laid eyes on Robyn. She wasn't all that at first, but she sure was working those heels. I had to speak when she passed me by. I said "What's up Shorty?" and she blew me off.
Inside the club was fun but I noticed Robyn with a lame. After she was finished with him, I slid right on in. The DJ must have knew what was up because the slow jams came right on. We danced, we talked and we enjoyed ourselves. We exchanged numbers because we found that we had so much in common
I couldn't wait to call her and we have been together ever since!
The Extraordinary Gentleman!
This young man is more than his many occupations. What makes him unique is his character and his intangible qualities. Tavon never fails to bring happiness to his family, friends and anyone who is blessed with is presence. His positivity, compassion, and spirit is unmatched and he always leads by example. Tavon is a father, a son, and a brother. He is a true Baltimore boy, but with positive ambitions. He Protects, Provides and parties like no other. Tavon’s mission is to cherish life and to always put God first. He graduated from Milford Mill Academy, class of 2000. In 2003, he joined the Maryland Air National Guard specializing in Transportation Logistics. After six years of service in Transportation Logistics, Tavon trained to become an airport rescue firefighter. Tavon made the most of his military experience and is still serving after nine years of hard work and dedication. Outside of his military expertise, Tavon works as a bus operator with the Maryland Transit Administration and is currently studying Transportation Engineering at Morgan State University. If he is lucky to have free time (and I mean lucky), Tavon enjoys hanging out with friends, watching movies and riding his motorcycle. He takes pleasure in laughter and likes to make other laugh. He has also been known as a bit of a prankster. Like jumping out from the shadows, turning furniture upside down and turning bed sheets into ghosts to scare Robyn. Tavon met the love of his life on the corner of Boston and Wagner st. He did not know that she would sweep him off his feet, and looking back, he's so glad she did.
The Bride in All her Glory
What can one say about Robyn Shanae Sydnor. She is a mother, a sister, a friend, a counselor, a singer, an artist, a fashionista, a writer, marketing extraordinaire, a dreamer, a go getter, a leader, and now, about to be Tavon Hawkins's future wife.
As a young girl, I always knew that I would find a man who would sweep me off my feet, but I never expected him to be the man of my dreams.
I grew up in Brooklyn, NY, the youngest child of Lynda and Robert Sydnor. During my crazy childhood in the city, I had many friends. We used to play all day and all night. I even built tree houses and go karts with my friend Devina. Yup, I was a tomboy. During that time however, I was always an excellent and bright student, excelling in all of my classes. I graduated from P.S. 213 and went to a new developement school in Brooklyn for gifted and talented students called The Essence School. It was this school that changed my life. It was this school which molded me into the self driven, well exposed, and talented woman I am today. As a result, I graduated with Honors and moved to Baltimore.
Moving to Baltimore was a very confusing time in my life but I was determined to make the best if it. Because of its suburban environment, and coming from an urban community back in Brooklyn, in which all my friends were left behind, I had to think outside the box to blossom in my new surroundings. I followed my ambitions to join the high school cheerleading squad and joining the best choir in the county, the Milford Mill Concert Chorale. The choir had the most rewarding and profound impact in my adult life in that I made friends for life and grew to love the performing arts. Mr. Price, the music director, was very instrumental in shaping my future.
Graduating Milford Mill and moving into my collegiate life, I was embraced my a new set of friends and new experiences. I had a new new host of friends, all of which were very driven, crazy and full of life just like me. In college is where I met some of the most important people in my life today. I fully embraced my college years and even struggled a bit to finish when I had my daughter Autumn. But it was during my first semester at Morgan, that I found the love of my life.
After graduating, I've worked in marketing, sales, real estate and now in the financial industry at T.Rowe Price serving 401k participants. I recently passed my Series 6 license, and now studying for my Series 63 license to sell mutual funds, defined benefit plans and variable annuities. I plan to be in the marketing department of an investment firm or a portfolio manager somewhere making lots of money :) I look forward to my new life with Tavon and Autumn and hope to see that the best is yet to come!
